music taste and homework
12:34 AMsome people have such terrible music taste. No offence, but i just can't see how people can like such songs, like 'The Call'. so its fine the first time, but it gets progressively irritating after listening to it repeatedly. And no offence, but so far all of Jesse McCartney's songs have done nothing but annoy me. And I never liked Miley Cyrus' songs. As for HSM, its addictive, but wears off quickly, and is only nice once in a while after the initial burst of enthusiasm.
None of these songs have the classic quality i like. So i haven't heard Avril Lavigne's songs, but who cares? (and i hear she's coming to S'pore... I hope i'm not in town to face the crowd of screaming (possibly) fans when she does...) Songs that are nice nowadays: Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Christian hymns, choir songs, Disney's evergreens, some not-so-Cina chinese songs, etc. And of course, the classic oldies of the 20th century, and pianol music.
Piano music I like: Beethoven, Mozart, Pachelbel, Bach, Tchaikovsky. And oldies, my favs: Beatles, BGs, the Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkel, Air Supply. Of them, my favourite is the Beatles, the last living member still alive in England (Paul McCartney, who is no relation to Jesse McCartney), followed by Simon and Garfunkel tied with BGs (Simon and Garfunkel bcos of Bridge over Troubled water and Sounds of Silence, BGs because of Massachusetts, 1st of May and I started a joke). The Carpenters were great, but if you compare Air Supply with the Beatles, they suck. But Air Supply was quite okay.
Songs I'm currently crazy about: Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 "Allegro", Pachelbel Canon in D, Colors of the Wind, Swinging on a Star, Phantom of the Opera, Sounds of Silence.
We have two mock papers to do, one for non-HCL students. People from Q and R might have more, or less.

4:39 AMI remember the dance steps so here is a detailed explanation of the steps. Forgive my detailed-ness...
1. Ball up fist n circle them together as if u r cleaning a table.
2. Do 'Cheese!' sign n do swiming backwards action.
3. Do egyption dance.
4. Put hands flat out, palms down, n cross them back n forth while slowly squatting down.
5. Do crazy sign to urself n look happy =D
6. Rub tallest finger n thumb together, looking like u r asking for money.
Do all that while saying 'Wooooooooo....' or it wouldn't b the Woo dance.
That sounded... Confusing. Hope u ppl understand. I've figured that ppl normally don't hv the same wierd logic as me.

4:24 AMOk people, if ya don't get startin sects soon I don't have any options for a sect other than the Canis Lupis Sect which is the only one which I kind of like. Oh yeah, and Cash and Arabian(Vivian) have written down the woo dance's steps on Arabian's trusty notebook. I saw, and here what I remember:
~Hold hands flat as if cleaning table, cross them and say "wooo"

2:37 AMHere's another summary of what we do for the confused nutters n other random ppl. I noe Leo put one but it has been swallowed up so far n some changes hv been made so here's a revised version.
The Nut tribe was started by some crazy 5P GEP girls n spread out to the other classes n basically anybody who wants to join. To join just notify one of our members, invent a nut-name for urself and start being ur own crazy self! As long as u don't conform to peer pressure and love to go CRAZY u can join.
We have different sects. The current sects that r up r:
~Canis Lupus sect [Nutella n I]
~Kooshieville sect [Dou-nut n Kooshnut]
~Sect of Vieni [Cash n... no one]
You can create ur own sects. According to Dou-nut u need to hv at least two ppl in each sect but rules r meant to b broken so, do wtv u want. =D
The definition of our name is posted by Cash somewhere below but to save u the trouble of scrolling down, I'll post it again.
'Home' is a place where everyone gathers to rant to each other, b ourselves, n just go crazy.
'Nut' = crazy = weird = different = unique = special = good = wonderful = nut etc.
'Tribe' is another more interesting way of saying 'a group of friends'. All girls of course.

Rant No. 1
12:23 AMI love colours. Colours are so cool. Anyone who has a permanent favourite colour is a permanent enemy of mine. If everyone with a permanent favourite colour was a separate race, I will be the leader of the racist movement against it. How can you stick with one colour all your life?! Or even for a few days!
We were meant to have variety in our lives. I can't fathom how we could live without colour. The world would be so boring. Not even black and white. Colourless.
But then again, if the world were colourless, we wouldn't know what colour was, and we wouldn't feel a lack of it at all. We would be perfectly content with how our lives were, not realising what we were lacking.
This goes to show that it is not good to know about what you can't have, because then you'll only want it. Like kids in Singapore a long time ago. They didn't know what TV and computers are, and some of them probably didn't have books. So they were perfectly happy, and didn't feel as if they were missing anything. Ouch. My head hurts.
What was I talking about again? Typing, I mean.
Oh yeah. Colour.
I like red. Red is passionate, vivid and bright. And lively. It is so cool. Plus, it's the colour of blood. Red rocks. No, blue rocks. Red rules.
I like blue too. Blue is kinda ... soft, i think. Calming, too. It is cooler than red, but red rules. Blue is just cool. It looks cute when you wear it though. And its really pretty when it looks like black. Like the night sky.
Um, anyway. Green is okay. Well, that's an understatement. I love green. Firstly, it was my third favourite colour after i was born. Not as in, i like colour x best, followed by colour y, followed by green. No, it was month one, i like yellow. Month two, i like blue. Month three, i like green. Also, green is sorta symbolic of new life, and eternity, and all the stuff.
I love yellow best. It's very lively. Bright. yeah. sorta optimistic. And anyone who has ever said "yellow yellow dirty fellow" in front of me has suffered the consequences. Muahahahahaha.
Pink is okay. As long as it's not Barbie pink, or baby pink. Well, I only like fuschia, magenta, and that's about it.
Purple is okay too, but like pink, it depends on which shade of purple.
Black is nice. Elegant, sleek - i love black too. And White. It's classic. Well, they both are. Maybe I'll change my name to black-and-white-nut. Kidding.
Brown is warm. I agree with Bella Swan from Twilight. Brown is warm. All woody, you know. And chocolatey. And whateverish. I love brown too. Well, not love. Just sort of like it, you know.
Orange is nice. Sorta a mix between red and yellow, so its still mildly passionate, although that depends on the shade. It's more warm than passionate. But not like brown. Warm in a lively way. Yeah, that's it. Orange is like green. Green is a mix of yellow and blue. So green is sorta soothing, and lively.
Mm. What other colours can i rant about?

The definition of 'home' is a place where everyone gathers to rant to each other about things we're crazy about, express our own individuality, and basically go insane.
'Nut' means crazy, crazy means weird, weird means different, different means unique, unique means special, special means good, good means wonderful, wonderful means nut. Go figure.

Nutter-ly summary

The Nutter Bug
6:20 AMHello! This is OBVIOUSLY the Nutties blog! XD Happy! Well, I was thinking, since everyone is being bitten by the Nutter bug lately, we should form some sort of post/text thing here just to define exactly what it means to be part of the Sisterhood of Nutters, what you need to do etc. Since I'm not entirely sure about what you need to do and stuff, I'm working on the definition. Cash, Coco, Hazel, anyway, feel free to edit it stuff and point out any mistakes!
What does it mean to be a Nutter? Well, I guess 'Nutter/Nut' is just a fancy (as fancy as we get!) way of saying 'individual'. Basically, this sisterhood is just a little club, possibly organization, where you are not judged for who you really are and you can be whoever you want to be! This group is an indivitualistic, non-conformist way of staying close to friends and true to yourself! Also, you know, 'Nutters/Nut' can mean crazy as well. I bet that most of us Nutters are at least 20% insane! INSANITY RULES! FUN+MENTAL=FUNDEMENTAL!!! Well, all in all, this is just our way of staying true and happy in a world where peer pressure gets the best of you and conforming is almost a criteria to thrive. Not here in the SoN. Not at all!!!
So, remember: Nutters stay crazy and true together!!!

Me, Doughnut and Cashewnut were thinking of making a Nut Logo. Cashewnut proposed the logo should show our unconformity,uniqueness and indivisuality and of course a bit of craziness as well. (I mean, that's what Nutty sometimes means.)
But you know, all these qualities aren't exactly visible, so how are we supposed to put it in the logo if we can't see it? If ya have ideas pls tell me, Leopardnut. Or if you don't want a logo, tell Doughnut, Cashewnut and me.
